Stainless Steel Chopsticks by ou8nrtist2 Stainless Steel Chopsticks by ou8nrtist2
I lived with a Japanese woman for 7 years who had a profound effect on my development in 100 ways. She introduced me to sushi and I was smitten. These forged stainless steel chopsticks I leave in the glove compartment of my truck as a constant reminder and an invaluable tool when I get the urge for tuna...
The narrow case is also fabricated in thin stainless tubing with an ebony plug.

I seem to have overlooked these before. Very nice. The only people I've ever seen use stainless steel chopsticks were Koreans.

Tis true Don,
And I only learned this after I made them and was trying to interest a Japanese sushi bar owner in a pair.
I use them whenever I have sushi out and they always get allot of attention, but the animosity between Japanese and Koreans is still quite evident, and in no way do they want to be identified ,one with the other, which at least for the Japanese might pose a risk if they ate with metal sticks...
They are actually a favorite piece of mine, almost like jewelry...

Well, these are impressive, and indeed jewelry-like, and I'd love to have a pair; but I doubt I could afford them.

I have a couple of dozen pair of chopsticks that I mostly got cheap at garage sales, including one plain stainless pair, an old Chinese ivory pair, twisted bamboo, carved wood, etc.

I find sushi fascinating as an art form, but I can't eat most seafood.

Hey Don,
I probably couldn't afford one of your pieces either...LOL
Would you be open to a trade ?
The winter is usually a somewhat slow time for me.I'd love to make you a pair when the season of outside building is over...
What do you think?

I too seem to have missed these. I keep doing that in your gallery.
What would I have to do to get you to make me a pair as well? Maybe with slightly thinner tips? (I like the more Korean style shape, but with the 9 in Japanese length.)
I too have a deep love of sushi, and several pairs of chopsticks. These are the most beautiful I've seen by far....
