Description
Had a request from some repeat clients for a small custom bar prep sink but still with my signature crenelated rim.The size they wanted was only 12" in diameter. This was the hardest one to accomplish so far because I had no "proper" male and female dies with which to form it on the hydraulic press. What I ended up doing was to put inserts inside my existing dies to bring it down to a 12" diameter. The pins on the side of the bowl are what hold it in place when it gets cast UPSIDE DOWN in cement to make the bar top. This is another collaboration with www.bohemianstoneworks.com
This method of pushing the flat material into a bowl shape with an 85 ton hydraulic press has a nominal depth-to-diameter ratio of 1 to 4.That is, the depth usually ends up to be 1/4 of the diameter of the bowl,so in this case 3" deep.
Welded,cold formed 10ga.stainless steel.

The shape of this one turned out particularly nice.
