In the house I grew up in,everything was made by hand by my parents (both artists).
For a "sensitive" kid it was a FULLY animated world where each object had a history,a personality,and each contained memories locked in the material, vestiges of which were released each time I made physical contact.Under my father's tutelage I learned how to INVEST the material of my creations with soul.One of his lessons was on the sanctity of tools,and their ability to impart magic into the work.Beautiful tools help us to create beautiful work,in the kitchen as well as the studio...
