Niki's Knocker

A recent commission;
the challenge;
To design and fabricate a knocker for the side door jamb of an entry door. The center of the door has a glass fanlight negating the possibility of the knocker going on the door itself.
Also the client designated the use of the recent forged square tubing sample (the bottom one):

I generally communicate with clients about their commissions using many photographs,to keep them apprised of progress.
This is a good example of SITE SPECIFIC DESIGN AND FABRICATION.

All stainless steel forged and welded.
Overall length is under 12"
Overall rise of the arch on the hammer piece is 3.5"

Addendum:The client found the piece too masculine and imposing for her taste so she took another piece instead of this one.Normally I would not allow this but she's a lifelong friend and has purchased at least a dozen of my works so a bit of latitude is certainly in order here.
My point is this piece is now up for sale...
