New Commissioned Work;
Heavy Forged Table.
This work is designed for a 250 lb round white marble top (45" dia.) that has been in the client's family for 200 years. Chairs to follow.
Diameter of table 39".
Legs are 3/4 x 3/4 solid square stock with a 2" wide fishtail finial on the scrolls.

heavy indeed! from the thumbnail i thought the top was a pentagram =D
awesome work, very smooth curves all the way around.

nice marble top tho, wicked.. what kinda finish is this table going to receive?

At first glance it does appear like a pentagram.
The finish is simple ,since it's an indoor piece after removing all scale from forging I simply sprayed it with KRYLON clearcoat.Clear finishes generally are only serviceable for indoor pieces .If it were exposed to moisture or fluctuating temperatures it would begin to rust...
