Door Knocker

This door knocker is forged stainless steel with a copper patina to match existing hardware on the door. It is one of several pieces I made for a most interesting large house near the ocean on an isolated windswept ridge.Very "Adams Family". I think it was on or near an ancient Native American burial ground... At least the elderly couple who lived there were most respectful of the place and acted much like stewards of the land.The Japanese Sea Monster I made guards the entrance way just inside the house. For some reason my camera malfunctioned the last day of install and I never went back to re-shoot the other site specific pieces. The house had stone floors and felt very castle-like. The couple loved Celtic and Japanese artifacts so I made them pieces in both styles...
