You channeling Kinkade or something? This is seriously the single best image I've ever seen that could provide me with sufficient motivation to go build "that place" I've had rattling around in my head for so long. Think of all the cool things I'll have to learn fist: masonry, welding... Woo-Hoo!

You should see the "backyard".
First thing they did is re-orient the pool because it had bad Feng shui.
Then there are the faux Roman ruins...(oh pleeeease).
I hope that Kincaid comment was a joke...
His work makes me gag. But then so does any artform that is as reproduced as his...
I'm sincerely glad for any artist that can eeek out a living these days ,but if and when it gets to K-Mart there has to be an intervention...

Yeah, the Kinkaid comment was in jest. The problem with many artists is that, once they figure out what sells, they stop growing.

You remember Keen paintings? The ones with the *huge* eyes? Talk about yer K-Mart...

So, they moved a whole pool because of bad Feng Shui? *AND* put in faux Roman ruins??? Yeah, pleeeease, indeed!

Well, the bottom line is that, Kinkaid jokes asside, that shot of the gate is something that really moved me. I'm happy you got to do it and even happier that you shared it with us.
