So shiny :D. I have seen similar pattern on few viking age bronze brooches but i havent had time to give it a try.

The Vikings were very skilled at taking the original Celtic patterns and ornamenting them further with many creative variations by mixing different sized dimensional stock to create interesting patterns...Excellent metal workers.

Oh how beautiful!!!! This is stunning. I love the idea with the acorns, hint to the oak as a sacred tree... The pattern on the *body* blows me away. So perfect, so regular, so... alive... floating...
I think of Water or movement...
A stunning piece!!!!
