This was a commission for a "sacrament container"for an individual who is going to Burning Man and wants to wear this thing around his neck so he doesn't lose the contents. He has a connection with the OAK,thus the symbolism of the acorn. The cap has a snug fit and comes on and off when aligned with two embossed dots on the other side.
It is all stainless steel,embossed,hot punched,swaged,and colored with a heat patina from the torch.

I take great pleasure in this process:
First I do a whole bunch of research on whatever is my subject,learn everything I can about it,then collect lots of images off the net,STUDY the resource information,then INTERPRET the critter in my own artistic way.
With this method it becomes an ARTWORK rather than merely a model...
